My recent work has focused extensively on commercial and grid-level battery energy storage systems, including battery integrated EV charging technologies.

Projects have involved translating engineering information, OEM documentation, design data and regulatory requirements into clear, structured documentation for installers, commissioning personnel, system integrators, operators and maintainers.

This work has included close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, controls, compliance and commissioning engineers.

Good technical documentation helps people understand systems, perform tasks correctly and manage risks.

My approach considers the equipment, tasks and intended users, as well as the practical conditions in which the documentation will be used. I routinely:

• question processes and proposed work methods

• identify gaps, inconsistencies and missing information

• resolve technical issues with engineers and SMEs

• consider operational hazards and foreseeable errors

• tailor content to different user groups

• structure procedures for safe, consistent work

• use diagrams, warnings and checklists where helpful

• adjust technical detail and terminology to suit the audience.

My work health and safety background enables me to integrate hazards, controls, sequencing, and human error into documentation from the outset. This is especially valuable for electrical system commissioning, isolation, maintenance and other safety-critical tasks.

I develop documentation and training for system integrators, installers, commissioning personnel, engineers, maintenance and support teams, and asset owners.

The result is practical documentation that helps people work safely, consistently and effectively.
